A high-performance coatings project developed by Axalta Coating Systems is currently under construction in Jilin city, Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local media reports.

The project, with an investment of 260 million yuan ($40.88 million), will mainly produce varnish and thinner coatings.

It is expected to produce 15,800 metric tons of high-performance coatings annually, with an estimated annual output value of 450 million yuan and tax contribution of 50 million yuan.
