The Changbai Mountains, located in Northeast China's Jilin province, have a host of magnificent peaks, 16 of which exceed 2,500 meters above sea level, with the highest, Baitou Peak, at an elevation of 2,691 meters. The Changbai Mountains Scenic Area is a national 5A scenic area, a member of the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve Program and an international A-level nature reserve.
