Shibadaogou village in Baishan Korean autonomous county, Northeast China's Jilin province is greeted with icy cold weather after winter arrives. So, the Changbai Border Police Station decided to help Shi Guihua, an elderly woman, repair her house to make her house warmer during the cold winter months.

Shi is an empty nester who lives in Shibadaogou village and just got out of poverty. The working team in her village found that the old woman's house was torn apart by the cold wind when they were conducting household surveys on Dec 25.

Having taken the extreme cold weather in Shibadaogou village into consideration, the Malugou Border Police Station of the Changbai Border Management Brigade arranged three policemen to help the elderly woman repair her broken house, and provided some living materials like fruits and soybean oil that were delivered to her home on Dec 26.

With the cooperation between the policemen and village officials, the house was repaired after two hours' relentless work.

"Thank you to all of you. Thanks to your help, I no longer have to suffer from the cold now," Shi said.

"Villagers' business is our business. We will do our best to help them overcome their difficulties, and this is how we can contribute to rural revitalization," said one of the policemen from the Malugou Border Police Station.
