Jilin province has scaled up its efforts in the development of tourism, as part of its actions to revive Northeast China. Baishan, a city of Jilin province, has taken multiple measures to foster its tourism market.

In the build-up to Baishan tourism promotional week, a number of local leading tourism enterprises gathered to launch the event, which included immersive performances, introductions to popular tourist attractions, interactive activities, and the promotion of cultural tourism products.

The event aims to boost Baishan's tourism at weekends and during holiday seasons, and to accelerate the recovery of its consumer market. A number of rural tour routes have been rolled out in Baishan, including the "Happy Rural Tour", themed on farm stays and holiday resorts; the "Enjoyable Rural Tour", themed on farm work experience; the "Pleasant Rural Tour", themed on sightseeing with a focus on lucid waters and lush mountains, as well as the "Tasty Rural Tour", themed on less-processed foods and the procurement of agricultural and sideline products.

Besides exploring the development patterns of local tourism, the existing resources of Baishan have given full play to foster local rural tourism brands, including summer resorts, ice and snow landscapes and revolutionary education bases, and the city has designed lots of holiday tour products with many different themes.
