A tree planting activity is held in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, Northeast China's Jilin province, on Oct 12. Staff members of Fonterra Co-operative Group, the deputy secretary-general of the China Environmental Protection Foundation, and representatives of catering companies gathered at the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park to plant the most iconic local tree species in Jilin province – the Korean pine. Attendees plant trees in the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park. The park is located in the center of the Asian temperate coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest ecosystem. The natural landscape in the area is magnificent, preserving extremely rich temperate forest plant species, and nurturing and sheltering a rich array of wild animals.
