A delegation of journalists visited the CRRC Songyuan New Energy Equipment Industrial Park, located in Songyuan city, Northeast China's Jilin province, as part of a major media campaign launched in the province to promote understanding of the region and its achievements on July 21.

Developed by China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation and Jilin province, the industrial park is the biggest single industrial project in Songyuan city.

The complex is expected to form a complete supply chain for the manufacturing of wind turbines, blades, generators, energy storage equipment and other equipment.

Gao Hegang, head of the construction site, said the project started construction on February 28. Construction on the 98,000-square-meter workshop has been completed and is expected to transform CRRC.

Since the start of production on July 11, four wind turbines have been produced and one has been sent to Inner Mongolia autonomous region. A total of 120 orders have been received so far, and all orders are expected to be completed by the end of November.

After the project is completely finished, it will have an annual production capacity of 800 complete turbines, 800 towers, and 800 sets of blades and 800 generators, which will underpin the wind power industry in Songyuan city, Jilin province and the Northeast China region.
