Songyuan city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – is set to further promote its energy development strategy and its industrial development plan.

This is expected to happen with the launch of the Songyuan Energy Industry Development Promotion Center and New Energy Development Research Institute on Jan 20, according to local media reports.

The center will participate in the research and formulation of the city's energy development strategy and its industrial development plan.

It will also participate in the promotion of the city's major new energy equipment research and development program, and in the construction of key demonstration projects.
