Songyuan in Northeast China's Jilin province signed cooperation agreements for 16 projects worth a total of 15.51 billion yuan ($2.44 billion) during its investment promotion event held on Jan 10, according to local media reports.

Among the projects, five have an investment of more than 1 billion yuan each. The projects focus on the chemical industry, modern agriculture and agricultural product processing, energy, cultural tourism, business logistics, digital economy and other fields.
