China Southern Airlines launches Changbaishan-Chengdu route

On Aug 19, China Southern Airlines' flight CZ8705 departed from Baishan Changbaishan airport in Northeast China's Jilin province at 6:50 am, marking the official launch of the Changbaishan-Chengdu route.

This new route is expected to significantly enhance economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between Northeast and Southwest China, supporting the revitalization of the Northeast region.

The route will be operated by an Airbus A320 and will have one flight daily. To celebrate the launch, an inaugural ceremony was held at Baishan Changbaishan Airport. Zhou Long, deputy general manager of China Southern Airlines Jilin Branch, emphasized the route's importance in boosting Jilin's tourism industry by leveraging Changbai Mountain's natural attractions to better meet passengers' diverse travel needs, with Changbai Mountain's natural beauty hopefully attracting more tourists.

China Southern Airlines meticulously prepared for the launch, conducting risk assessments and ensuring all operational and safety protocols were in place. Ground staff members provided efficient services, while a specially selected cabin crew delivered exceptional in-flight experiences.

In addition to this new route, Baishan Changbaishan airport offers flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, as well as connections to global destinations.
