During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on June 3-5 Baishan city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – received 48,900 visitors and generated a tourism income of 36.39 million yuan ($5.44 million).
Most tourists chose short tours and rural tours, as well as family tours and self-driving tours.
To maintain a safe and orderly environment for tourists, the city strengthened its novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures.
It introduced extra security patrols and inspections at key tourist attractions, with special arrangements in place to ensure that adequate numbers of officials were on duty to handle any complaints over the break.
