Groundbreaking of 64 projects takes place in Baishan city

Construction work on 64 major projects, costing a combined 14.3 billion yuan ($2.27 billion), kicked off in Baishan city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – after a commencement ceremony was held on Feb 28, according to local media reports.

Since the start of the year, Baishan has started 70 projects, costing 50 million yuan or more each, with a total investment of 15 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 6.1 billion yuan.

Plans are for Baishan in full to implement 264 projects in the current year, worth 50 million yuan or more each.

The total investment will be 129.8 billion yuan and the annual investment is expected to increase by 10 percent on the previous year.
