The Baishan leg of a winter sports series for teenagers in Northeast China's Jilin province was launched at the ski resort in the city of Baishan on Dec 28, 2021 and will run until Feb 28, 2022.

Multiple winter sports activities will be held, such as alpine skiing, speed skating, and short track speed skating.

During the event, there will also be a two-week public welfare training program for young people in speed skating and short track speed skating.

After the training, the 2022 Baishan "Ticai Cup" Teenager Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating events will be held.

At the launch ceremony, the Baishan municipal bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism donated 5,000 ski tickets to the municipal bureau of education. Students from Baishan Jiefang Middle School were invited to participate in winter activities.

The students expressed hope that there would be more opportunities to participate in similar activities, improve their physical fitness, and enjoy winter sports.
