The Jilin provincial government has unveiled a pivotal action plan aimed at enhancing its business environment. This plan focuses on prioritizing the experiences of business entities and the implementation of measures to ensure an optimized business climate.

One of the critical elements in fostering a top-notch business environment is the enhancement of financial services and the resolution of financing difficulties for small and medium-sized enterprises. The plan outlines specific requirements for the province's financial sector, including expanding the scale of its capital supply, ensuring financing for key areas, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of financial services, and facilitating policy implementation.

In 2023, Changchun Customs implemented measures to optimize the business environment. It reinforced policy provisions by introducing 18 measures and corresponding initiatives, resulting in significant progress. Jilin province achieved a historical high in its total import and export trade value in this period, reaching 167.91 billion yuan ($23.37 billion), with a growth rate of 7.7 percent. This positioned the province ninth in the nationwide ranking.

Looking ahead, Changchun Customs is set to further refine its port services, fostering a cooperative, inclusive, and outward-oriented open environment. The primary measures will focus on achieving "three improvements": better support for the province in creating a leading frontier for opening-up, enhanced services for the high-quality development of the province's advantageous industries, and the cultivation of a favorable port business environment throughout the province.
