At the opening ceremony, a promotional video for the Beijing Winter Olympics flame collection, handover ceremony, and torch relay was played, as was a promotional video about Tonghua winter sports.

The representative of winter sports athletes launched an initiative for Tonghua to encourage 300 million people to participate in winter sports.

Throughout the snow season, Tonghua will host competitive events such as platform jumping skiing and alpine skiing for the 19th Jilin Provincial Games, as well as a snow trekking festival, to help Tonghua develop its ice and snow cultural tourism industry.

In recent years, Tonghua has accelerated the integration and development of its entire ice and snow industrial chain, including ice and snow tourism, sports, culture, equipment, products, and talents.

Moving forward, the city will accelerate the construction of ice and snow projects and create ice and snow industrial clusters to build Tonghua into Jilin's new hub of ice and snow.
