Construction of the Tonghua Ice Snow Industry Town is currently underway in Tonghua, Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local media reports.

The ice snow town covers an area of 12 square kilometers and has a total investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.57 billion). It is expected to be a demonstration project for the ice and snow industry in Jilin province after completion.

Construction work is divided into three phases: ice and snow sports, health care and vacation, and event services.

To further boost the ice and snow industry in the city, construction of the project's infrastructure facilities such as the Tonghua Tourist Service Center, Skating Hall, Ski Jumping Training Center, Shooting Sports Management Center, and Cross-Country Ski Training Base are currently in progress.
