Longwan National Forest Park, covering 8,133 hectares, has the most volcanic clusters and contains the largest crater lakes in northeast China.

There are seven crater lakes, a waterfall and two mountain peaks in the park. The crater lakes are Dalong, Erlong, Xiaolong, Donglong, Nanlong, Hanlong and Sanjiaolong. “Long” means dragon in Chinese and the names of these lakes are consistent with the park’s name — Longwan cluster lakes.

Other scenic spots here include the Diaoshuihu Waterfall and Jinlong Peak and Sifang Peak.

The forest stretches over 50 kilometers and the seven crater lakes, which emerged after volcanoes erupted in ancient geographical ages, shine like jewels against the backdrop of numerous mountains.
