Liaoyuan city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – has established a rapid resolution mechanism for problems that are encountered by its companies and it has also streamlined approvals of engineering projects to improve the business environment, according to local media reports.
The city has set up an interactive online government-enterprise platform to release new policy information, tackle and resolve any thorny problems faced by resident enterprises and develop a 24-hour internet platform for business services.
It is understood to have sped up giving the green light to new projects and further standardized administrative licenses, technical reviews, intermediary services, municipal public services and other matters involved in paving the way for new engineering ventures.
Moreover, Liaoyuan has used information technology to promote the integration of communications links, optimize various administrative processes and streamline services.
It has accelerated the cross-province handling of 74 government services, including processing the paperwork for industrial production licenses, registrations and settlements of medical treatment in different places, the application of social security cards and transfers of household registrations.
In addition, the city has launched the construction of a social credit system. It has standardized the credit restoration process, undertaken credit restoration of companies which defaulted on loan payments and protected the rights and interests of untrustworthy entities in accordance with the law.
