Dongfeng county in Northeast China's Jilin province has been recognized as one of the top 100 safest counties in the country by a list recently released by a group of governmental authorities and professional institutions.

Dongfeng stood out among 2,757 county candidates and ranked 90th with a score of 87.92, becoming one of the only two candidates in the province.

Fifty-two districts in provincial-level cities, 29 county-level organizations and 19 county-level cities were included on the list.

The county has taken measures to nip various potential safety hazards in the bud, helping facilitate the high-quality growth of Dongfeng and creating a safe and fair environment backed by law-based governance and business-friendly services.
