The Library of Dongliao County, covering 300 square meters, was established in July 1979 as an institute to collect, save and spread knowledge and data for educational, cultural and scientific use.

It includes four departments -- an online reading room, a common reading room, a lending room and an office.

The library has collected more than 60,000 books and has created a project to share books among students, soldiers and people who live in remote villages in the area.
