Jingyuetan National Scenic Area is located in the southeastern part of Changchun in Jilin province, 18 kilometers from the city center's People's Square.

It is situated in the foothills of Changbai Mountain and serves as a transition zone from the eastern Changbai Mountain area to the western Horqin Grassland.

The scenic area boasts 119 mountain ranges, ranging in elevation from 220 meters to 406.5 meters, creating a continuous and undulating landscape.

It covers an area of 96.38 square kilometers, with a water area of 5.3 sq km and a forest coverage rate of over 96 percent. It is also known as one of the eight scenic spots of Jilin, as well as the "city's calling card" and the "ecological green core" of Changchun.

The scenic area offers picturesque views throughout the year, with each season displaying its own unique charm.

In spring, the verdant greenery bursts with vitality, with mesmerizing adonis amurensis flowers blooming. During summer, lotus flowers bloom in abundance, creating a beautiful and serene atmosphere accompanied by a chorus of croaking frogs.

In autumn, the landscape explodes in a riot of color as the forests and waters form a picturesque scene, especially in the extensive maple leaf area.

In winter, the area is transformed into a white wonderland, with miles of ice and snow creating some majestic scenery, making it a popular destination for winter snow activities.
