The Fanrong plant area of the FAW Hongqi Manufacturing Center, which carries out the important task of implementing automaker FAW's 14th Five-Year Plan for new energy strategies, consists of five workshops – those for stamping, welding, painting, final assembly and battery electric drive.

It produces pure electric Hongqi sedans such as the E-QM5, the all-new Hongqi H5, Hongqi H6 and Hongqi HQ9, among other Hongqi brand products, with a standard production capacity of 240,000 vehicles per year.

The factory has fully adopted robot automatic assembly technology and has achieved 100 percent digitalized interconnectivity and control of manufacturing quality in all areas – showcasing the modern, intelligent and environmentally friendly aspects of a new energy vehicle manufacturing facility. It's been honored with the title of 2022 National Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
